Gov Rick Perry on a Woman’s Right to Discuss Abortion

Share

blondcounty news – On September 28, 2013, in Texas (an anti-abortion state), Governor Rick Perry’s wife Anita told a reporter, “That could be a woman’s right. Just like it’s a man’s right if he wants some kind of procedure.” Later, Guv Perry told reporters she misspoke, sticking the wrong word in the wrong place. BlondCounty’s non-political-speak translation of what the Governor really meant goes something like this:

Texas, abortion, civil rights, Anita Perry
“Mrs. Perry and me are dedicating to maintaining a traditional marriage between husband and wife — TEXAS STYLE!”

Anita Perry: “Just like it’s a man’s right if he wants to have some kind of procedure. But I don’t agree with it, and that’s not my view.”
